Watch wildlife from the back deck or sit by the firepit into the evening while you enjoy a quiet getaway. With one comfortable bedroom located downstairs and a clean bathroom upstairs, it’s perfect for solo travelers, couples or small families. With two mini splits, the cabin stays cool in the warmer months and warm when it’s chilly outside, ensuring a nice stay year-round. Guests can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere on 1.5 acres of beautiful SoIL property that feels like a home away from home. Being minutes to Cedar Lake, close to Giant City State Park, centrally-located along the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail and conveniently close to SIU/Carbondale puts this home in a perfect location. Whether you’re unwinding after a day of adventure or simply soaking in quiet, this cabin provides an ideal spot to recharge. **Please note that you must go downstairs to get to the bedroom and laundry area. There is only one bed downstairs but a queen air mattress and plenty of extra bedding and pillows are provided.**

Although we did not bring any pets, it was nice to see pets were welcome and they had everything pet ready, including a leash. The house was clean and had everything available for use. The area was peaceful, but also not to far from the city.
