About this property
2 Bed Flat, Gated, Parking, Balcony
Summary:
Tucked away in a leafy cul-de-sac on the outskirts of Maidenhead, this spacious two-bedroom flat sits on the first floor of a secure gated development. You’ll also have your own allocated parking space, so there’s no need to perform the traditional evening ritual of driving around looking for somewhere to park.
The Space:
Inside, there’s plenty of room to make yourself at home. You’ve got a comfortable double bedroom, a second bedroom with twin beds and a family bathroom. The bright living and dining room is made for putting your feet up, family dinners and debating whose turn it is to choose what’s on TV. Just off the living space is a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need — including the essentials for those brave enough to actually cook while they’re away.
Open the doors from the living room and you’ll find your own private balcony overlooking the communal green space. It’s a lovely spot for a morning coffee, an evening glass of something nice or simply checking whether the British weather has changed its mind again.
Now for our favourite disclaimer: this is a real home, not a show home. It has been lived in and enjoyed, so you’ll spot the odd scuff, mark or little imperfection along the way. If you’re searching for untouched walls and hotel-style perfection, this may not be your match. But if you want comfy beds, plenty of space, a proper kitchen, secure gated access, your own parking spot and everything you need for a comfortable few nights or few months, you’re in the right place.
Once your booking is confirmed, Smarter Rent will ask for a copy of your ID and for you to sign our House Rules. After that, unpack the bags, claim your bedroom, locate the wine glasses and make yourself at home.
Guest Access:
You have the run of the entire house.
The Neighborhood:
Maidenhead is a great base if you fancy a bit of everything. Head down to the River Thames for a riverside walk, wander over to Boulters Lock and Ray Mill Island, or follow the river and admire Brunel’s famous railway bridge and Sounding Arch. There are plenty of green spaces around too, so finding somewhere for a walk, picnic or dog adventure is pretty easy.
For a bigger day out, the beautiful Cliveden estate is nearby, with hundreds of acres of gardens, woodland and Thames-side walks to explore — plus a maze if you fancy testing the family’s navigation skills.
You’re also brilliantly placed for exploring Bray, Cookham and Marlow, all lovely spots for riverside walks, pubs and restaurants. Or venture a little further to Windsor Castle and Windsor town centre. Travelling with children? LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort is within easy reach too. In short: castles, countryside, riverside pubs and rollercoasters — a fairly decent selection for one corner of Berkshire!
Getting Around:
Getting around from SL6 2RS is particularly easy, with Maidenhead Station only around 0.5–0.7 km away. From there, you can hop on the Elizabeth line towards Reading or straight through London, while Great Western Railway services provide fast connections towards London Paddington, Reading and the wider Thames Valley.
Buses are close by too, with stops at Desborough School/College, Kings Grove and Reid Avenue all within easy walking distance. Desborough College (Stop DF) Reid Avenue (Stop RD) The nearest stops are only a few hundred metres away, making local trips around Maidenhead nice and straightforward.
And with the station and town centre close by, plenty can be done on foot too — handy when nobody fancies being the designated driver!
