The breakfast was limited but ok for a few days, unfortunately the day after we arrived the rooftop bar was closed for refurbishment which left us with nowhere to sit in the sun or relax from a busy day walking! We booked this hotel because we wanted to use this area the room was lovely and staff helpful, it’s in a good position just off the main shopping area.

Disappointed.

Hallways were dirty. Pool area floor tiles all loose creating a tripping hazard. Staff at front desk very good and helpful We stayed here 2 years ago and had a great room overlooking the front square - the hotel could not accomodate and we were stuck at the back of the hotel. Room was very stark - i.e no pictures/ art on walls made it feel like a hospital room

Lovely triple room with a great bathroom. Comfy bed and air con in the room too. Complimentary water provided and we were told tap water is useable too. Breakfast area seating is small but we always got a table - lots of options and staff around to help if any refills are needed. Walking distance of Gran Via and lots of bus/metro options.

I find it unethical when a hotel is undergoing renovations and don’t bother to tell its customers. I mean we received at least 4 emails prior to our arrival so they have no issue reaching us to communicate. Surely you feel gauged when you pay €250/night and you arrive to find the hotel is renovating the entrance. Staff were very friendly and assured us we would hear no noise, and to tell them if we do. Well when you are jet lagged, have an afternoon nap and wake up by the noise what use to tell them? I am sure all rooms would have heard that hammer knocking. Without renovations, the location is great, the room size is decent, the top floor view is wonderful, but not sure why they close the pool in October.

As an American traveler this hotel was a bit odd for us but not terrible. It’s very expensive to stay in Madrid and this was one of the cheaper options but still pricey. It was clean and the staff was incredibly helpful. Our “standard room” had a toilet room on one side of the room and the sink and shower at the other end…The hallways were VERY DARK and lit only by some funky neon lighting. I think the property was being repaired in places. The buffet breakfast was excellent. Lots of dining and shopping options within walking distance.

Desk staff not very friendly or helpful. One of the two elevators was broken for the entire length of our stay. Location terribly close to attractions. Room was large, A/C worked well. Breakfast include a large variety of options, and they gave us to go boxes on days we left the hotel early. I expect more for the price I paid - even in a large city.
