Location, location, location!
This apartment was as described, except that it was darker than pictured, even with the drapes pulled back and windows open.
Raquel was very responsive with my emails prior to arrival. She was unable to greet us upon arrival but had someone greet us in her stead. Check in was at 11am but we arrived at about 10am and were gladly allowed access to apartment anyway.
The location couldn't have been better. Central to everything and really enjoyed being the the barrio Chueca.
Though it was noted in the listing that this was a 3rd floor apartment without elevator, it was somewhat of an inconvenience. Especially given that we had enough luggage for a 1 month stay in Spain. I think this is typical with a lot of these wonderful older buildings in Spain.
The apartment was surprisingly quiet at night given it's location.
My only complaint was that there was barely enough hot water for one person to take a shower. The hotwater heater only ever got to mid-level on the heat indicator and we couldn't find any kind of adjustment for this. We chose not to complain to Raquel about this and ended up just dealing with it.
