My partner and I loved our stay at Axel Madrid. We were in room 006, was so spacious and well designed. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooftop was great and fun, with spectacular sunset views. Great location. Gym a little small. Friendly clientele, and welcoming safe space.

The breakfast was extremely enjoyable, along with the service from its staff. Laundry service was quick and easy. The food catering/room service was also delicious with plenty of options. The location of the hotel is ideal for tourist attractions. Unfortunately, I couldn’t mirror my iPhone apps like YouTube, to the Samsung format. Otherwise, great place to stay while in Madrid.

Great location. Needs a refresh.

The hotel needs an update and some fresh paint. It’s a great location and the rooftop bar and pool were very nice. Staff was nice. Close to museums as well as all other parts. I didn’t even use the subway once.

Let me start by saying that the staff were wonderful and that the company does read the reviews which I applaud. The problem, for me anyway, was the hotel design itself. The corridors were very dark, gloomy and bare. This gloomy atmosphere continues with the room. The room is effectively a bathroom with a bed in it. The shower, sink and toilet are all in from of the bed. I don’t mind seeing / hearing my significant other shower or wash their hands but seeing, hearing and smelling someone use the bathroom is not something I like. The rooftop has a bar and quite a large pool along with a rooftop view. Many restaurants and bars in the area. Once again the staff and management were great.

recently stayed at Axel Hotel Madrid, and overall, it was a mixed experience. The hotel is definitely showing its age. The carpet in my room was stained, there were cracks on the walls, and the beds were very hard, which made it uncomfortable to sleep. On top of that, the room’s telephone wasn’t working, which was frustrating. On the positive side, the staff was absolutely wonderful. Everyone I interacted with was super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel itself is kept very clean and has a pleasant fragrance throughout, which made common areas and hallways feel fresh and well-maintained. In short, the service and cleanliness were great, but the rooms need some updating and more attention to comfort
