The wifi was out when we arrived at 4 and remained out until after 7. The front desk/lobby area was cluttered and hard to move through. The construction mess was obvious. There was only one person running the check-in and phones so there was a wait all evening for assistance. The rooms were clean but the walls are paper thin. I have never stayed in a hotel where I could hear every sound my upstairs neighbors made as well as every sound in the hall. Made for a restless night.

The hotel was under construction. We stopped specifically on our road trip because the hotel advertised the bar and restaurant when we arrived. They only had a make shift bar and restaurant in the lobby. We ended up having to go to a local restaurant. The next morning construction beganin the room next to ours at 7 AM in the morning. It continued until we left at approximately nine.

Hotel main lobby was under construction very noisy we booked through a third party so there was no notice of the construction. Due to the construction noise it was hard to understand front desk person at check in. Also paid a $50 pet fee which was a surprise, voiced my displeasure and got comped two free breakfast. Free breakfast would have been great ($16.00 a piece) gesture except that the breakfast was not good at all. I hope it was a reflection of construction mode and not the normal because it left a lot to be desired. Room was clean with new carpet, bed was comfortable bathroom was not remodeled and was aged and the toilet seat was very loose and ready to fall off. Staff was nice a polite and apologetic for the construction.

We’ve stayed here a few times while traveling because the hotel is watched by security from the University. This last time, during Thanksgiving, we had two of our vehicles broken into as well as three or four other guests. Windows busted out of vehicles. Hotel staff was helpful but the Hotel insurance denied it was their responsibility even with the lack of security and cameras. Did not reimburse us for damages and new windows.

Hotel was under renovation. Sad that Hotels.com didn’t tell me. We would have chosen another. First room we got has a bathroom sink that wouldn’t drain. Help came right away but couldn’t clear it. So we had to repack and move rooms. Frustrating! And they didn’t offer any concessions.
