The property was nice, clean and within walking distance of the shoreline (across the street) and all the shopping/dining at Mackinac City. The gal who checked us in was wonderful. The only disappointment was the room assigned to us, room 104. It was in a hallway between the pool, vending, maintenance room and exterior exit that was not secure. The ice machine ran through the night, waking me up. People coming/going continued to slam the exterior door. I would stay here again but I would request NOT to be put in room 104. Sidenote: I read recent reviews about bed bug issues. I bought spray prior to the trip; however, I noticed no signs of bed bugs.

First - the Expedia price is NOT the total price. Not a huge difference - but misleading nonetheless. Not a terrible place, but definitely not a great stay. Everything is incredibly dated and desperately needs a makeover. Perhaps just because of that, or perhaps in reality, nothing felt clean. Definitely had that 'profits over people' feel to it.

The manager was hateful. Yelled and slammed a door. We were given a lesser room than we paid for and he did not like being confronted about it. When I showed him reservation proof he said it was his motel he could do what he wanted, told me to leave and slammed a door. All in front of a lobby full of customers. Front desk lady was so apologetic. Then We found dirty underwear in our room. Our sheets were dirty and the toilet was used and not flushed. We booked several rooms. Another room had dirty bed sheets. One room had a nasty dirty tub that couldn’t be used. We were all also charged an extra fee for our rooms that were booked nearly a year in advance.
