Walking distance to restaurants and ferry to Mackinac Island, and other entertainment. Was surprised to find no one is at the front desk (door locked) when we checked out at 6:30 am. Had to turn over room keys at Crown Hotel across the road.

Plenty of parking on the property. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room, comfortable beds, cold AC. Good water pressure when showering. We didn’t use the pool but it looked awesome. The property needs to upgrade their windows and sliding glass doors along with the flooring of the elevator but otherwise, it was a good stay. The hotel is literally next door to the Arnold Transit Company (one of the ferry companies) which made it very convenient!

This was a basic inexpensive hotel. Keep your shoes on in the room because the carpets are old and sticky. However, it was a good location and was sufficient. There is no breakfast though, just granola bars and coffee. The staff was great and the pool was nice.

As other reviews have stated, the hotel is in need of renovations. The carpet is dirty- my husband walked around barefoot and his feet were black in a few hours. Everything is outdated. It is in a great location though. It has balconies and close to the ferry. Steps to the beach and close to everything.

The hotel was fine. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The parking situation was unacceptable. There was nowhere to park! The hotel parking lot has basically been turned over to people looking to pay for day parking to travel to Mackinac Island. I understand the hotel is likely far below capacity on many days and selling parking is another income stream. But when you don't have parking spots for paying guests, it is unacceptable.

We liked being by the water and near the ferry. We didn’t like that it hasn’t been updated or maintained in a long time. The shower handle was broke, the recliner was broke, wall paper coming off and carpet was torn. The place was also very loud. People were playing loud music until after midnight and management didn’t stop them. For the money we paid, I wished we stayed at a different place.
