We had a studio suite, which was fantastic. Large seating area, huge bed, lovely bedding, jetted bath, huge walk in shower, 2 big screen smart TVs, shared patio area (5th floor, views over river and town). 2 complimentary bottles of water (free filtered dispenser and coffee/tea station in lobby) and plate of welcome cookies. Breakfast, which is great buffet option and eggs cooked to order too, starts at 5am, not 6.30 as stated in description, so we were able to enjoy it before setting of for Machu Picchu. It’s at the top of town, but it’s less than 5 minute walk down the riverside path to the bus for MP, and a 5 minute walk up from the train station. Very friendly helpful staff, and will store your luggage whilst at MP too.

My stay at Taypikala Boutique Machupicchu was excellent from start to finish. The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained—perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring Machu Picchu. What truly stood out, however, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. Their warm hospitality made me feel at home and added so much to the overall experience. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Machu Picchu and would happily stay here again.

This location in Aguas Calientes is awesome. It has the best view and the hotel is great. You can’t beat the price or location at ~$100/nt. We liked the room a lot. It is literally right around the corner from the hot springs as well.

Front desk staff, Nancy and Miguel were kind and helpful. As for the property itself, it left a lot to be desired...rooms were small and nondescript. No AC or heat, just a fan and a very loud dehumidifier? Breakfast was ok but lacking many choices like oatmeal, breakfast potatoes or scrambled eggs (hardboiled only). Location was good, though you should be in good shape as it is at the top of a steep hill along the river. Would chose another place with more amenities if I were to return to Agua Client. Thanks

Nice stay but only 1 of the TVs worked! Lovely breakfast. This hotel is at the top of the hill though-so keep in mind for anyone who struggles uphill.
