I don’t recommend this place at all! 3 star is for the River view. Had I known this is actually a youth hostel with some “comfort room” I wouldn’t have booked it at this price for my vacation. River view is not but we had to live with youngsters racing in hallway with big noises at 10:40pm every night! When we arrived on the rainy afternoon at about 2:30, the young guy at front desk didn’t check at all and didn’t dare to look at our eyes and told us check in has to be at 3pm! At 3 pm we were checked in by a young lady. I don’t believe they can’t accommodate a 30-minute early check-in for customers who walked in the rain with luggage to get there. No cups for water or anything. No coffee maker.

Pros Absolutely great location, nice clean room and clean bedding and friendly staff. Cons The receptionist couldn't recommend what to do and see apart from the boat trip which we had already booked online. We found out about the walking tours too late.

as it was a mixed dorm, and being an early riser, I had to be mindful of everyone else, perfect for friends or families. cannot comment on the food as I always ate out, but the prices are comparable, if not cheaper. you have to ask at reception for coffee if they have not opened for breakfast.

Good price, walking distance from center.

Clean space, friendly and helpful staff. I stayed there only for one night for the Andre Rieu concert. Clean restrooms in the lobby area, nice terrace with amazing views. Overall a good space to sleep for a good price.

Very Good Hostel for roaming around the city

I stayed in 7 sharing room, however only 4 were present. Hostel is good if you just want to sleep and meet people. Not great for privacy. But it was a good getaway for visiting the city.

Friendly Youth Hostel close to central Maastricht

Very friendly and helpful staff who were welcoming. This is a youth hostel and the rooms etc are in keeping with this. Breakfast was basic but absolutely fine and plenty of it. We had a great stay and would stay again.

the most perfect stay in a beautiful city

I went to see an Andre Rieu concert and spend a few days looking around Maastricht. Th hostel staff were very welcoming and were always on hand to make the stay the best it could possibly be. The rooms were very clean. The breakfast was plentiful with a lot to choose from. The hostel has a very good location overlooking the river. There are bikes to hire and it is just across the road from a beautiful park. It is a very beautiful city and I should like to return in the near future.

Fantastic!

It was very cheap (£12p.p/p.n) so jumped on the price as a student. I didn't know what to expect but was happily suprised. We were placed in a large room (with separate shower and toilet room). The whole place was fairly sustainable and the price included an all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast. The food there was very nice. The staff at the hostel were also very welcoming and offered great advice on where to eat and what to do. They also provided directions to walk to Belgium in under 2 hours and went out of their way to help us. After checkout, we were able to use the secured luggage room to store our bags so didn't have to carry them with us for the final day. They allowed us to keep them in there as long as needed, which was a great help. In terms of location, it was perfect. It is just outside the city centre, which allowed for more exploration of the local area. However, it was still close enough to reach in within a 5 minute walk.
