Lovely hotel but missed promised sea-view

In principle a lovely hotel (and the staff were really friendly), and in a fantastic location, but it has seen better days. Most irritating for us is that we payed extra for a sea-view, but that view was only visible from an odd corner of the room. Also irritating was that a sea-view from the sofa would be possible, but somebody built a wardrobe that stuck out into the room and hid the sea-view. Moving that wardrobe would be extremely easy and improve the room 100%! Could also remove a chair or two - the room was a good size but very crowded.

Hotellet är gammalt och slitet och behöver verkligen en generell renovering. Varor stod i hallen under hela vistelsen utan att tas om hand. Vi bokade ett familjerum 2 vuxna och ett 10-årigt barn. Vi fick ett rum med två 120 cm sängar varav den ena trasig som gjorde det omöjligt att sova två personer i den. När vi märkte detta hade personalen gått för kvällen och kunde inte hjälpa till vilket gjorde att jag sov på golvet. Vi meddelade personalen detta dagen efter och då beklagade de sig att vi inte hörde av oss på kvällen redan för då hade de kunnat hjälpa oss. Väntade att skriva en dålig recension i hopp om att få respons från hotellet med kompensation men de har inte hört av sig på tre veckor.

Hotellet ligger bra till om man vill ha nära till shopping och promenader i parken. Personalen hjälpte spontant till att bära väskor uppför trapporna och var glada och trevliga, (hiss finns ej). Frukosten var bra med ett utbud som man som gäst förväntar sig ska finnas. Rummet var rent med enkel standard, äldre möbler, TV på vägg. Hotellet som helhet är slitet och skulle behöva en uppdatering för att bevaras, men det har också en charm.

Fantastisk hotellsjef og ansatte som gjorde alt for at vi skulle ha det best mulig. Servicenivå 100%. Hotellet har en lun og herskapelig atmosfære. Om man ønsker et hotell som er mest opptatt av gjestenes ve og vell, så er Grand Hotell Lysekil hotellet for deg!!! Vi kommer tilbake dit!!!
