Part Deux at the InterContinental is a beautiful hotel set within a stunning historic building that has been very tastefully restored. Check-in was excellent and the rooms were lovely, making for a great first impression. The main downside was the facilities, which felt limited for this level of hotel — a pool or jacuzzi would have made a big difference. The concierge could also have been a little more helpful and welcoming at times but instead seemed put out. What was most disappointing, however, was the complete lack of recognition for my friend’s birthday despite us advising the hotel in advance and it being noted on her club profile. I just found it odd. Overall, a stylish and enjoyable stay, but missing some of the finer hospitality touches.

Breakfast was great, staff were very friendly. I did a two requests that weren't met. One was to replace the remote to my TV, and to gather my bags to leave. Additionally the lobby and elevators had a greasy smell that was over powering. Very odd for the quality and beautiful property. Disappointing.
