Someone was using a chainsaw to trim tree branches outside of our first floor room at 08:00 AM our first morning. If the hotel has any influence on timing, I would think after 10:00 AM would be more reasonable. On a few occasions we saw rodents (rats) running on the sidewalks and lawns within the courtyard entrance, both in the daytime and after dark. I also heard what I believe to be rodents scampering within the walls of our 1st floor room a couple of times during our last night. I recognize that rodent control might be a significant problem for even a clean, well managed facility, which your hotel appears to be, but I was surprised to not see any evidence (traps, poison/bait) which I would have expected to see given how obvious the problem appears to be. Sometimes the appearance of action (visible traps and abatement measures) can be more assuring and effective than concealed measures (if in fact there were any.) Having said this, I would consider staying at your hotel again. The staff were excellent and helpful. The premises were in excellent repair. Improved rodent control would improve the optics.
