The hotel was very good, clean and well maintained. The staff were all helpful and polite. The weather was not great so we spent more time and we may have done, so it was nice to be comfortable and well looked after. Very pleasant stay.

Excellent breakfast and lovely family run business A little more attention is needed to details and cleaning tea stains on furniture, off set toilet seat, shower gel and soap dispenser were close to empty and pump dispensers were not very good All the staff and people were lovely and looked after us well We did not eat evening meal here but they have a small bar for drinks was a nice touch

Nice little bar with good outside space great location a Ross from open forest. Room smelt of dog after a while and the room needs a new lick of paint as does other areas .not a bad place just a little tlc needed .also breakfast couldn't see a price anywhere so didn't pre order one as you have to do that. Would of been better table service

The Hotel was very clean staff amazing, very good breakfast,I don't drive but lots of parking spaces. We where minutes from the new forest with lots of tracks to walk, we saw lots of new forest pony's plus a couple of Donkys. Close to public transport, so we visited Southampton in under 1 hour. Live entertainment at the hotel and a great bar,we enjoyed the stay and we will definitely go again,oh yes bathroom had a huge swirl pool bath

Lovely, homely hotel just outside the town centre. Easy parking, lovely room and comfortable king bed. We booked the room with breakfast which was good value. Our room was on the second floor, which I didn’t see in the room description. The stairs are quite narrow on the tread, and steep, so if this is an issue check room location before confirming. Otherwise, an excellent place for a New Forest stay.

Really nice stay, staff very helpful and accomodating, we were on the top floor and the room was very warm but the whirlpool bath was an unexpected bonus. Only negative was people smoke just outside the restaurant and bar and with the windows open the smoke came im. A separate smoking area away from the hotel would be better.
