the resort is undergoing major renovations and we were warned about this beforehand. All the leisure facilities were close but the grounds are lovely. We hope they keep the family cottages once the renovations are complete.

A lot of updating was evidently in progress which we were warned about in advance, but we were not disturbed at all as it was a weekend. The room was very spacious and comfy with a huge comfy bed. Staff were lovely. The main building and grounds were gorgeous. Our only niggle was lack of enough milk in the room (we love lots of tea and coffee), and one of the sachets of milk was off, as it turned lumpy in the tea). We didn't complain as only there for one night.

Currently the hotel is under refurbishment. A lot of amenities wasnt available. Including a hot breakfast on Sunday morning, which was on Saturday. Not a lot of food available on either days. Didn't have the same feel as other macdonald hotels. Rooms were far from reception, which was tricky when it was raining. Rooms were OK.

The view was lovely and the apartment was spacious, well equipped and comfortable. The bed sheets and pillows unfortunately let the sleep down. They smelt disgusting, like bleach. The bed was full of little bits and wasn’t very clean. Other than bad sleep, it was a nice stay.

This hotel has been taken over and is being refurbished no amenities all under construction. Not notified after booking asked to review did we enjoy by the pool and fine dining in the restaurant all closed main manor house gutted . Take away limited menu continental breakfast. Indoor and outdoor pools drained and closed . Signage poor.
