Charming Cottage, Fresh Eggs, Friendly Pets AND Pet Friendly!

Stunning sunsets, views from the cottage of pastures with a sweet horse that loves treats, on our historic Virginia farm. Our cottage, located in a private setting, with an outside hot tub with beach towels and a Solo stove for easy warm evening fires. The Cottage has a king size bed, fresh linens and towels, fully furnished kitchen, beautiful bath with a jetted tub, free WIFI, & central air and heating.
History abounds with a Civil War incident occurring right here at the farm ask Betsy or Ed we are happy to share.
To get you started we supply half a dozen eggs from our chickens and a baked treat for your coffee. There is coffee in the cottage too. If you would like eggs to take home they are $2.00 per dozen.
We are Dog Friendly there is a $20.00 per pet per night fee, and they MUST be crated if you go out without them. Ravens Roost has in residence 3 dogs all rescues, 3 cats, 1 horse and 100 chickens.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cottage, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private patio. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a Smart television is provided for your entertainment. The bathroom with a shower/tub combination features a jetted bathtub and a hair dryer.

This is the cutest place! It is so relaxing to look out to window and watch the horses running around and the mountains! The hot tub was a treat after a day of hiking and the hosts were amazing! I really enjoyed staying there and chatting with them. I highly recommend this place.

We had such a wonderful stay at this cottage. It’s tucked away in the backyard of the main house, which made it feel incredibly private, quiet, and relaxing! One of the absolute highlights was the horses, who would roam just a couple feet from where we were staying. They were so friendly and gentle, and being able to pet them made the experience feel extra special and unique. The owners truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The bread and eggs they provided were such a thoughtful touch and made our mornings even more enjoyable. Their kindness and hospitality really stood out and made our stay that much better. This trip was extra meaningful for us as we were “earlymooning” before our wedding festivities, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect, peaceful place to unwind and soak in that special time together. We would absolutely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

The location was amazing - 5 mins to town and 20 mins to amazing hiking. The stay had everything we need and was very comfortable. We loved the hot tub after hiking. The host was welcoming, easy going, and very helpful. Thanks for the eggs and fun weekend!

Nice and spacious cottage. Full kitchen was nice and a jetted tub! Outdoor hot tub was also nice to use. Loved how close it was to town and caverns but also feels remote. Owners were friendly and extra accomodating. Would definately stay again!

Yes for the most part. Some updates need to be made. Internet would freeze often while watching TV also could use larger screen TV. I thought it was one bedroom with a den or living area but was actually one room. Not real appropriate staying with your son. We made do had a great time regardless. Loved the bread and eggs

Older place. Limited in wifi. Difficult bathroom with deep tub to step over and into. (Not a good place for elderly or folks with mobility issues). Toilet in very contained space so not good for larger folks. Learned to not stay in place with owners in premises. Didnt feel private enough.

The cottage and surrounding area was very comfortable and welcoming. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. The hosts are gracious and kind, easily reachable if needed, as they live on the property. We brought our dog and she was able to play with the owners friendly dogs on their land. The hot tub was a nice perk after hiking. We forgot to ask/mention it to the owners but the VRBO lists laundry as an amenity and it was not included in the cabin. The land has interesting civil war history tied to it, which was neat to hear.

This cottage was perfect for our 5 year anniversary get away. It’s close enough to attractions and shops/restaurants/breweries if you want to explore. It is also nestled just outside (2 min drive) of all of this to allow for a beautiful secluded stay. My husband and I enjoyed all had to offer. The fresh eggs and bread (dairy free bc I can’t have dairy) were a special touch. We would return! Edgar and Elizabeth were wonderful hosts. I even took home fresh eggs for the week.

Very peaceful place only 2.5 miles from Luray. Everything you need to cook a meal, a very comfortable bed, and a great view. I will most likely stay here again when I travel this way in the future.
