What a fantastic stay! The only problem was I couldn't stay longer! The cabin was clean, pet friendly, and steps away from trails and the lodge with a gift shop, dining room and taproom. A quick walk to the Blackrock Trail viewing point at sunset is a must see!

We had one night to do the national parl adventure. It was perfect Room was great although the bathroom exrractor fan would wake the dead :) Eat in themain restaurant, excellent value and good honest food along wirh a beer in the bar to celebrate the Bear I managed to capture on film as it crossed my path when walking back down the path fom the highest point view point.

It was nice to see the sunset along with family. The park was too good to spend timeout. Staying in this hotel was the right choice as I was traveling from far. Room was neat and clean, as it is inside forest be aware of some insects to enter as guests :). We experienced it but it was ok.

Some rooms have a/c, some don’t. Ours didn’t. It was cool enough at night with windows open, but took a while to cool off with fan. Overall a nice facility and good location in the park. Didn’t have to leave the park and drive 35-50 miles one way to find a place to stay, then drive back the next day.

Can't beat the location and the view. The food in the dining room was good, if a bit salty, but service there was very slow. Kitchen had trouble getting everything out hot. Great easy to moderate hiking nearby.

The Lodge is exactly what you expect as you pull up. The Staff were extremely accommodating giving us tips and suggestions. The rooms lol lol have NO TV so you have to talk with each other. We liked the Lodge.

The room was dirty when we got in. The amenities are outdated. There is a very cozy feel in the rooms and the lodge, but the price for the rooms is far too expensive. Keep the rooms outdated and charge $100 or update them and keep them at current price. If we come back we will be looking for alternative lodging

Perfect place to stay in the mountains. Casual mountain lodge overlooking the beautiful Shenandoah area! They had a restaurant we got dinner and breakfast at and the food was good, the tap room was fun to have a drink, play games, and listen to music, had a big fireplace in the main lobby area to hang around, and a perfect location for hiking. The only negative was that our room did not have hot water in the sink - it was completely off, so the water pressure was very low. Outside of that, it is a great place!
