What a fantastic stay! The only problem was I couldn't stay longer! The cabin was clean, pet friendly, and steps away from trails and the lodge with a gift shop, dining room and taproom. A quick walk to the Blackrock Trail viewing point at sunset is a must see!

The Lodge is exactly what you expect as you pull up. The Staff were extremely accommodating giving us tips and suggestions. The rooms lol lol have NO TV so you have to talk with each other. We liked the Lodge.

Can't beat the location and the view. The food in the dining room was good, if a bit salty, but service there was very slow. Kitchen had trouble getting everything out hot. Great easy to moderate hiking nearby.

Perfect place to stay in the mountains. Casual mountain lodge overlooking the beautiful Shenandoah area! They had a restaurant we got dinner and breakfast at and the food was good, the tap room was fun to have a drink, play games, and listen to music, had a big fireplace in the main lobby area to hang around, and a perfect location for hiking. The only negative was that our room did not have hot water in the sink - it was completely off, so the water pressure was very low. Outside of that, it is a great place!

For a national park accommodations it was better than some, worse than others. Mattresses lumpy, very loud bathroom exhaust fan, yet did actually have a TV, with 12 channels and a mini refrigerator. Multiple dead bugs in the room on the floor and a few live lightening bugs, but this is in a park setting.

Nobody seemed excited about their job in the restaurant. It was expensive and that would’ve been ok if the food and experience matched the price but it just didn’t. Also the Hawskill lodge needs a new hvac system. The windows make a horrible way to cool a hot room without a fan.
