This is a lovely, family owned hotel with history, charm, and character matched only by the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. The pool and garden area were peaceful and elegant but also kid-friendly (although the pool was too cold for swimming during our stay). Highly recommended, and we are looking forward to our return.

Excellent stay here. Friendly staff. It’s a historic hotel but appropriately modernised for a comfortable stay. There’s an honesty bar that is well stocked. A great range of choices from the buffet breakfast. Amazing location overlooking the lake (try to get a lake view room) and near to shops and restaurants. A delightfully comfortable bed.

This is a beautiful historic hotel. It almost felt like we were in a movie, it has a real old world feel. Located right across from the waterfront, walking distance to everything you want to visit. The staff was outstanding. The hotel was spotless. Smaller rooms although we didn't splurge for an executive suite but I give this a pass because of the age of the hotel but the architecture and finishes are beautiful!

One of the best 3* properties I have ever stayed in, should really be a 4* but I guess they don't staff the bar. It has a pool and terrace overlooking Lake Lugano, it has a great little honesty bar, where you can relax. I left at 5 am so did not try the breakfast. The room was very comfortable, I had a solo room as it was just me and would definitely stay here again. The staff were so friendly and helpful in every way, especially in making a reservation for a great little local spot. Marvellous.
