Built in the 1930s, this building housed the Rieth am See Forest Ranger’s Office until just a few years ago. The house has been lovingly renovated and today exudes an atmosphere that is truly one of a kind. The forester’s house is surrounded by a spacious, park-like garden with old fruit trees, large meadows, and natural hedges, and is located right next to the 17th-century Rieth village church and Rieth Castle. Many small seating and lounging areas in the garden invite you to relax and linger. From the large, elevated sun terrace, you have a wonderful view of the surrounding landscape, which is bordered by the historic, protected castle avenue and lush green wetlands and orchard meadows teeming with many protected animal and plant species. The sauna is located in the thatched-roof former horse stable in the garden. In just a few minutes, you can easily reach the Rieth swimming spot on Lake Neuwarper—only 400 meters away—which features a small playground and a volleyball court.

Inside the house, you’ll find unique furnishings consisting almost entirely of antique furniture, which has been given a charming, distinctive look with fresh colors from Farrow & Ball. Every single room in the house is unique, lovingly furnished, and rich in detail. The house has a total of 4 bedrooms—one on the first floor and 3 more on the upper floor—all of which are furnished with cozy double beds. The house features 3 comfortable bathrooms: one on the first floor and 2 en suite bathrooms on the upper floor. In the spacious living room on the first floor, you’ll find a cast-iron wood-burning stove that ensures cozy evenings by the fire—not just in the depths of winter. In the light-filled living area, walls have been removed to create a single, large space that also incorporates an elegant kitchen island and a long, atmospheric dining table. From here, you can step out onto the large sun terrace in front of the living room, which features an awning, another large dining area, an outdoor lounge seating area, and panoramic views of the expansive, naturally landscaped garden. The open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area is very spacious, and the dining table and sofas comfortably seat 10 people. From here, you have direct access to the 5,000 square meter garden, which offers plenty of space for relaxation and play. It is equipped with patio furniture and a grill.
 
The kitchen area, fully equipped with a dishwasher, stove, and oven, will leave nothing to be desired. There are also two en-suite bathrooms, each with a toilet, and a separate shower room with a toilet. Internet access, TV, CD, and DVD players are, of course, provided.
