Venturing further afield, a short drive will take you to Southwold, with its iconic pier and charming town centre offering an array of independent shops and restaurants, and also home to Adnams Brewery where you can even arrange a tasting session. Visit Thorpeness, situated around the Mere with its Peter Pan themed islands, with an atmosphere like stepping back in time.

If you enjoy bird watching, the chalet is approx 35 minutes from Minsmere. Also Benacre, which is a short walk from the chalet, leads to Cove Hythe. The walk never fails to give breath taking views and many birds that visit the area constantly.
