Welcome to Beachside Barn, a charming two-storey coastal retreat where rustic character meets comfort and relaxation. Perfect for families and small groups, this unique home accommodates up to 6 guests and offers the ideal setting for a memorable beachside getaway.



Just steps from Lagoon Beach, with a playground and BBQ facilities nearby, and only a short drive from East Beach and George Town, you’ll have the perfect balance of coastal adventure and peaceful relaxation.





The Space

Outdoor Living: Start your morning with a coffee on the deck, relax in the hammock as the sea breeze rolls by, or rinse off in the outdoor shower after a day at the beach. As evening arrives, gather around the firepit and enjoy a relaxing night under the stars.





Living Areas: The spacious living room combines warm timber interiors, quirky décor, comfortable furnishings, and a cosy fireplace—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the coast.





Kitchen & Dining: The fully equipped kitchen makes preparing meals easy, while the generous dining table seats up to 10 guests, creating a wonderful space for shared meals and conversation. The adjoining deck also offers a lovely setting for indoor-outdoor living.





Bedrooms: Upstairs are two peaceful bedrooms. The main bedroom features a king-sized bed and a private balcony with glimpses of the ocean. The second bedroom has four single beds, making it ideal for children or groups.





Two fold-out sofa beds are also available in the second living room upon request. Each accommodates one additional guest, and an additional fee applies for their use.





Parking & Outdoor Space: The property offers ample off-street parking and a secure backyard. With the beach, playground, and BBQ facilities nearby, it’s a wonderful choice for families and guests travelling with dogs.

Guest Access



Guests have access to the house at any time via a lockbox for convenient self-check-in.



Please note that the upstairs loft, accessed from the entry area, is not available for guest use.

Low Head is a charming coastal village located at the mouth of the Tamar River on Tasmania’s stunning northern coastline. Surrounded by beautiful beaches, scenic coastal walks, and waterways, it offers a peaceful escape while remaining conveniently close to George Town.





Spend your days swimming, walking along the coast, exploring local beaches, or discovering the area's rich maritime heritage. The iconic Low Head Lighthouse and historic Pilot Station are popular attractions, while guided penguin tours provide a memorable opportunity to experience the area's unique wildlife.





Lagoon Beach is just moments away and features calm, sheltered waters, BBQ facilities, and a nearby playground. For those seeking a longer stretch of sand, East Beach is only a short drive away and offers a beautiful coastline ideal for swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, and leisurely beach walks.





George Town offers a range of shops, cafés, restaurants, and amenities, as well as popular mountain bike trails for those seeking adventure.





Low Head is also ideally positioned for exploring the Tamar Valley, with local vineyards, fresh produce, and other attractions throughout northern Tasmania within easy reach. Launceston is approximately a 35-minute drive away.





Getting Around



Due to the property's location, we recommend having access to a car to make the most of the surrounding area and attractions.





Other Things to Note



We warmly welcome dogs to join you on your coastal getaway. A $100 pet cleaning fee applies to pet stays. We kindly ask that you clean up after your furry friend. Cats are not permitted.





There are two fold-out sofa beds in the second living room, available upon request. Each sofa bed accommodates one additional guest and incurs an additional fee of $35 per sofa bed.





Children are welcome; however, please note that there is a flight of stairs without a safety gate, so supervision is required.
