We were extremely disappointed with this apartment. Having stayed at the Palmyra condominium many times, this is by far the worst apartment we’ve experienced.There were numerous maintenance, cleanliness and safety issues. The master ensuite door handle was hanging off, the patio door didn’t lock, the toilet seat was broken, bulbs weren’t working and bare electrical wires were hanging from walls in four places. The floors and ironing board were dirty, and there was sludge inside the washing machine. One ensuite shower also drained so slowly that the tray filled while showering.The apartment was poorly equipped and the master bedding didn’t fit properly, with the fitted sheet constantly coming off and a small duvet cover being used as a top sheet.Of particular concern was the spiral staircase to the rooftop terrace. Several steps were cracked and gaps in the railings were large enough for a small child to slip through.Communication from the host was disappointing. We reported the issues promptly, but only the door handle and one exposed wire were dealt with during our stay. I have since contacted VRBO and supplied photo and video evidence, but I am still awaiting a response from the host.Advertised as “luxurious”, we found the apartment very basic, poorly maintained and not good value for money. The condominium is lovely but we would definitely not stay at this particular property again.
