We had issues in not having running water for the shower on day 1, but the Manager credited our first night accommodation fee and gave us free breakfasts, free valet and a restaurant credit as recognition of our inconvenience. We were very disappointed to discover the massive construction site abutting the hotel. It looked like a mess. Construction seemed to be going on much of the night. We decided to stay at this hotel because we were impressed by it during a visit years ago. This visit to LA was a special celebratory visit for us and we expected a top-flight experience. This was a disappointment. The staff did say they upgraded our room (appealing), though it still overlooked the construction. Also a complimentary breakfast.
