My family was looking for a clean, safe home in a good location while we visited. This house more than met those needs. It was well cleaned and communication with the owner was quick and smooth. The draw of this home is the location - right off of Ventura and a minutes walk to many shops and eateries, plus a 5 minute car ride to universal.It is not a fancy place and is best suited for guests who don’t mind the look and appeal of DIY projects, which were plentiful at this home. Nothing is dirty, broken or unkept, and nothing is new, modern, or top of the line either. It’s important to know this when booking so you have the proper expectations.There is space for one small, compact car to park in the driveway and a tag for street parking was provided, however street spots are hard to come by.Kitchen, bedrooms, living rooms and bathrooms had everything you needed and nothing more. Small set of dishes, blankets and pillows, clean couches, that sort of thing. If someone in your party has physical limitations this house will likely be a challenge to navigate. Floors are uneven with random dips and ramps and the only way in is up concrete stairs.If you’re looking for a safe, clean place to sleep and shower - this is perfect. If that’s not your vibe this house will likely not be the right fit for you.

There are many, many good things about this property that we enjoyed-the location, the comfy beds, the spaciousness of the home, the well equipped kitchen, the quick response from the host, the ease of entrance. All of those things are very good. The cons of this home are lack of parking. The garage does NOT hold a car, so there’s space in the driveway for one car and then you must park in a garage and pay for a 2nd car. There is no street parking allowed. Also, the queen sofa bed in the living room is in fact two twin futons. They are comfy and very usable, but there are no extra sheets, blankets or pillows to use for them, so we had to go buy all of those things. Those things did not ruin our stay, but they unconvinced us quite a bit, thus the 3 stars.
