Great area--restaurants (walk around), Vons supermarket directly across the street, laundry close by on Alamitos Avenue. The pool adds to the beach ambience. Lots of historic/vintage architecture in the area, so very walkable.

It's an older property but very clean. As we were at a conference all weekend the room was only used for sleeping. Front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. This is the 4th time staying at this property. Will reserve it again the next time we are heading to Long Beach,

Air conditioning worked great, bed was really clean and comfy, floors clean, everything was nice, super close to a great breakfast cafe and Vons right next door. Only thing I didn’t like was the risky activity and people yelling outside morning and night but what do you expect when booking a motel downtown Long Beach.. guy at the front desk was extremely accommodating and very friendly, parking right outside.

The hotel could benefit from an upgrade of minor things like fresh paint on the outside exterior. The non-smoking rooms still smell as if there are smokers in the room. The light fixtures could use some updating. My lamp had no lamp shade and it appeared that our fire alarm was detached from the wall. Overall it was a decent room.
