The room smelt horribly of urine and mold, the smell was so overwhelming that it seeped into the clothes that were hung in the wardrobe. I did get a partial refund but it was an awful experience. As the hotel was fully booked, I could not even change rooms. I will not stay there again.

I booked this room for my husband and his mom to stay close while his dad was recovering at USC Medical Center. This hotel was walking distance from the hospital and convenient. They stayed at another “hotel” nearby the night before and my husband was not going to stay another night there. He said it was not how it looked in the pictures on the website. They were so happy with Hyatt for the comfort of the bed, water pressure on the shower, cleanliness of the facility and the room, and friendly staff. We would definitely recommend and stay there again.

There’s a train right next to the hotel that blows its horn every hour or so, ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT. They give you ear plugs in your room but it did absolutely nothing to block out the noise. Also, I had my baby with me and I couldn’t put earplugs in her ears so it kept waking her up throughout the night. Absolutely terrible experience! The hotel itself is nice, but the fact that no one in my family could sleep was the deal breaker.

If you are a patient at USC Health it is convenient and well appointed. However, the constant presence of long and very loud freight trains blowing horns in the middle of the night and blocking access to the major street leading to the property caused stress and major annoyance. The staff offering rooms on the opposite side of the hotel does not make a difference in the noise levels. Sleep is disrupted. That is not healthy.

Great location next to USC medical campus and hospital. Clean, new, very helpful staff with compassion for those with disability needs. Food at the bar was sufficient and tasty. We left too early for our 6:30am appointment to enjoy the free breakfast.

Pros: The suite we stayed in was great - spacious and nicely furnished. The staff at the reception desk were very nice and helpful. Cons: - The location is very inconvenient, in the middle of nowhere, yet I had to pay extra $38/day for parking. - Next to railroad tracks, with cargo trains passing by and making a lot of noise during the night. - Breakfast service was weird: the sitting is in the lobby area, and the food buffet is in a room that is closed outside of the breakfast hours. The breakfast ends at 9am, and they just closed the door at 9am sharp, no warning. I forgot to get a spoon for my yogurt, and I could not find one at 9:00 since they closed the doors. One person put a piece of bread in the toaster and went back to the lobby to get coffee in the meantime. One minute later, the doors are closed and he could not get back in to pick up his toasted bread. Again 9am sharp and no warning. They also started wiping the floors around the tables as soon as it turned 9am, although people were still sitting there finishing their breakfast. Averall the feeling is of a well-run, corporate, cold and efficient establishment, not an inviting and hospitable place to stay. I will not stay there again.
