Cleanliness and staff were exceptional. The large room was immaculate and kept that way by the housekeeper during my 4-night stay. When I requested an extra pillow, it was brought to my room immediately. The bed was super firm. I was able to check in and check out rapidly. I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years. For the competitive price for a no-frills hotel, you could not do better.

Really liked the location. The room was clean and cozy. You will want to avoid a room on the Wilshire side of the building unless the sound of traffic doesn’t bother you. I will definitely stay there again.

I read many reviews and they were all positive. That’s one of the reasons I booked this hotel. While they said the place was clean, that’s correct. No problems with cleanliness, price, check in or location. The problem was that the room had a weird smell. It was rather chilly that night so I turned on the airco, which also worked as a heating device. It worked but the noise was as if there was a plane flying through the room every time the airco kicked in. There was als quite a bit of street noise. The location was ok though, regarding safety.

Room was clean. Bathroom looked cleaned and toilet even had a seal ensuring it had been cleaned and unused upon arrival. Beds were alright in terms of comfort but the room was spacious. Felt safe in regards to myself and my car. I saw security upon arrival and front desk was welcoming.

I love the Dunes because it’s usually quiet and safe. The location is excellent from any point I need to go. One thing that bothers me is that there are NO side lamps next to the beds. Only glaring lights from the ceilings. You used to have side lamps which gave the rooms a nice ambiance. Makes the rooms look like a YMCA without them. Also, need to upgrade your towels. The quality is pretty awful and cheapens the room. Other than that, it’s amazing. I’ve been staying there for almost 30 years off and on.

Front desk was friendly. The room was very clean. The maid added little touches when she cleans. Left her a tip. Two downsides: the beds are very very firm with flat pillows, and parking was very tight. If you have anything larger than a minivan, it probably won't fit. Still I give it a five because I was very impressed how nice it was for the price. And they don't charge for parking. Definitely stay there again when in the area. Will bring my own pillow
