Was not able to stay over— a vagrant/neighbor approached us and threatened us with a large butcher knife when we came to bring our suitcases. Had to call police for help. Apartment size and decoration nice but building windows has severe termite damage. Old a/c units worked but curtains had to be open to get air- so no privacy. Shower tile floor was painted over and cracking. Was very stressful and we had trouble finding a place to stay in the middle of the night. Host did give us a refund.

Nice space, comfortable beds and responsive-ish host but the are serious issues at this property. This place is extremely rough and almost uninhabitable. We only stayed because of location for my sick kid @ Cedars Sinai.The neighbours smoke weed 3x a night (8-11PM, 2 AM and 6AM). They are loud, threatening and we left exhausted.Window pane in bedroom 2 is missing - serious issues with noise and weed smoke. I had to stick a plastic bag over the window to prevent the ingress of fumes and keep the place warm. The same neighbours were involved in criminal activity. LAPD was at the property two nights in a row and staked out the building. Very frightening.The listing facilities are grossly misrepresented. NO laundry facilities. Kitchen has NO equipment as listed. Pots and pans finally delivered after a week. No toaster, kettle or basic amenities. Cost of going to laundromat with Ubers was 50. I had to repair window with plastic bag, had to buy pot, and disable external wired smoke detector in the dark as owners could not respond.Internet was unavailable for the first few days of our stay. I was unable to work because of this. This property could be nice, but it is totally neglected. The place is filthy and broken windows don’t help.Listed as a “bargain.” That word is the only thing accurate about this listing.
