The OYO is now the Inn of Jefferson and is under new ownership. As a result, OYO did not honor the reservation and Expedia charged me a no-show as a result. Trying to resolve this was a nightmare. Expedia did not like my first review so this is my second attempt to give honest feedback. The room was dirty, roaches everywhere, moldy caulking in bathroom, broken tv, and construction supplies stacked everywhere. You will be better off staying in your car.
We traveled from WV to TX for an event in Jefferson. We booked the OYO bc we had stayed there before and while it wasn’t the nicest hotel, it was fine for the weekend since we’d only be there at night. I booked many months in advance. Received my confirmation email and reminder the week of the event. I’ve booked through hotels.com a bunch of times so I had no reason to question anything. We drove all night long (over 14 hours) get there around 8am to check in and they don’t have our room. I told them my information and that I had booked online but they said they don’t have an online system, that they recently changed management and it’s no longer under the OYO. Even worse, they don’t have any availability. Said I had to go through the app to get my money back. Basically I was SOL. Not a great experience— especially running on no sleep. After trying 5 hotels to find availability, a nice man told us to always pay in advance and not pick “pay at hotel” bc that’s why they give your room away. They make more money when people come in without a reservation.
We had 2 reservations for this hotel. When we showed up they told us the hotel sold and they are not accepting reservations that were already made. Lost money and everything and no place to stay.
Person at desk on Friday said my room was not reserved and that I would need to use another credit card to pay for stay. Was double charged for weekend. Showed up on other credit card as a no show. Bugs where bad in this room.

This property is having an ownership change, and now they no longer take Expedia reservations. It took me quite a while to talk with Expedia on the phone about it. The customer service was terrible. About the property, since the change of ownership, they have been doing renovations, so maybe it would be better in the future.
It was a place to lay my head. Room was fairly clean and somewhat comfortable. Not friendly at all. Not good customer service. Lots of noise and people hollering all hours of the night. Parking lot was tore up and had to be careful driving my new vehicle through there afraid I would hit a deep pothole. Conveniently located is the only positive. Will stay elsewhere when visiting the area again.
We should have known this wasn't going to be good when we drove up when we saw two water heaters on the sidewalk outside the office, along with so old furniture there too. The parki g lot was trashed and the minute we stepped out of the car the waft of pot hit us immediately. The ceiling fan had 1 light that worked, there were holes in the walls, the bed was not comfortable, and bath tub didn't haveva working stopper. It looked like some people were living there and there were trash can full of trash on the sidewalks and the dumpster looked like it hadn't been dumped in a month. The pool area had been filled in, and the fence was in disarray. You could lose a small car in the pothole coming onto the property.
Roaches everywhere, room was still dirty, phone had the headset missing and line cut and door locks didn’t work(they were kicked in)
Very sketchy place wouldn’t recommend to anyone
I would give this place zero stars if I could. It was dirty and trash everywhere. We booked 2 nights but ate the cost on it because there was no way I was staying there.

The gentleman was very friendly and and gave us a renovated room which was very clean and the bed comfortable. There was a small Mr. Coffee machine, but no products or cups to make coffee. No microwave, but cold refrigerator.
The back rooms and parking was trashed. Garbage bags, recycle bins and loose trash lined the entire walk ways. Extended stay workers had the company trucks parked along the back and grills, coolers, and chairs were on the walk ways. This was not the look in the front which was clean and lawn manicured. I appreciated the gentleman trying to accommodate us.

The fronts staff was nice.
Older hotel but the room was clean and was sufficient for our stay. The lobby/front desk was noticeably cluttered and very dark.
