Our second time staying at this Hampton Inn and it did not disappoint. Will be our hotel of choice when visiting family on Long Island. Great central location with easy access to 495. Staff were friendly, hotel was clean, comfortable room, and is located in a good area. And if needed, a Starbucks, Chick-Fil-A and other eateries within walking distance.

We requested a handicapped room with at least grab bars in the shower. We did receive their accessible room #404, with roll-in shower. The shower was terrible. The floor of the shower sloped sharply towards the room, absolutely flooding the bathroom floor and making it gross and slippery! And standing in the shower was hazardous—so narrow! The tile floor was dirty. And the bed was hard as a rock.

Initially, I had a very nice stay, and the price wasn't bad. I checked in and was given the receipt for the two nights and the $200 deposit. I was told by the concierge I would receive $200 back after my stay. I checked out at 3:00 a.m. and didn't bother to look at the receipt. When I got to my destination, I looked at the receipt, and there was a charge for parking, two nights of parking for a total of $32!! At no point during my check-in did the concierge mention this. I stayed there for the competitive price. When I say somewhere I don't like surprises, this was a big disappointment, especially from Hilton Hotels. I'm a veteran and an honors member. I probably won't be staying there again. That's the most absurd thing I've ever heard of. And I think $15 is too much! I called and complained, and they wouldn't make an adjustment. Shame on you, Hilton Hotels!
