We stay at this hotel a couple times a year for its great location and dog friendly rooms. It could use a referb to be honest but the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. Sometimes if events are on it can be noisy. It’s does a great English breakfast buffet.

Great location. Staff were friendly, and welcomed us and our dog. Parking on site was busy on Saturday but unrestricted on the road outside after 7 so didn’t cause us an issue.family room quite dated, but as per photos. Bathroom had lots of hairs in the bath which we washed away on first use of the shower. our expectations were in line with a room accepting pets, albeit they looked like human hair. Would consider staying again due to location, would like to see the beautiful building renovated.

Although I booked a Crown room it was really not anything special so I cannot imagine how a standard room would be, There were cars beeping and slamming doors headlight beams shining in the room at all hours. The bathroom was SO small it was laughable (one person could hardly turn in it) The carpet was grubby as I spilt a drink and when I wiped yuck. The decor uninspiring and the pillows rock hard. The restaurant and bar areas were quite nice however and I feel the rooms just need to be redone. On line when I booked the photos I saw bore no resemblance to what was delivered

Please a good shower and a good Wi-Fi

In general, it was good, but the shower was not good we can't get fresh water it was too hot and impossible to get it less warm and with my pressure it's very important for me when it's too warm I can faint in the bath. The breakfast is not so exciting the Wi-Fi is not good, you must reconnect all the 20 minutes

Disappointing Dirty sheets and blood on the bed Room had a bad smell Had to stay for 7 nights and moved room immediately but second room smelled stale too Manager offered me £50 to spend in the bar. Not accepted.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, great breakfast

We have stayed at the Clarendon several times whilst visiting family, and are always welcomed at reception. There have been a couple of small teething problems with the rooms, i.e. toilet not flushing , but the problem has been sorted out quickly, and a new room allocated. The rooms are always spotlessly clean and the domestic staff are lovely. Breakfast is amazing, and the staff friendly and welcoming. The hotel is a short uphill walk from Blackheath railway station, has lovely views over the heath, and is close to walk to Greenwich.

I stayed at the Clarendon for one night. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They are the hotel's biggest asset. My hotel room was huge for London standards. The decor is a bit worn and could do with an upgrade. It reflects the pictures as advertised. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom clean. The reason for the lower score for cleanliness is because my bathroom had a fly infestation. I'm not sure where they came from but there were at least 20 flies in there. Breakfast was included in the booking. There was a full English with lots of gluten free options clearly highlighted. The Meridian restaurant where breakfast is hosted is light and airy with a really nice ambience.
