We stayed in a quadruple room on the fourth floor. The room was ok but could have been cleaner especially around the outside of the shower cubicle! Some of the bedding had rips along the seams and we found some tissue between one of the single beds and the wall which had obviously been missed when the room was cleaned. It was also quite noisy because the extractor fan was constantly going. We mentioned it to the gentleman at reception on our first morning there and asked if there was any way it could be turned off as it was quite loud particularly at night when everything else was quiet and he said he would sort it but it never was. The staff seemed friendly enough whenever we saw them and the hotel was in a great location for all the places we wanted to visit.

This is an amazing location, a 5-minute walk from Paddington Station for buses, underground, and trains, shops, and lots of fast food and restaurants nearby. The price is reasonable. The reception at the hotel and the cleaning staff were friendly. The room was clean but showing its age, particularly the bathroom. Our basement room was tiny (we knew that before we booked) with no space to open two suitcases. There was no outside window (just a window into the stairwell). There is a lift so we didn't have to carry our cases up and down stairs. The Wi-Fi was very fast in our room. I would recommend a larger room if one is staying more than a night or two, or if you have more than one suitcase.

Check in was great, efficient and very friendly. The room itself was definitely dated and worn, but clean. The air conditioner in the room, when on, did occasionally make loud buzzing noises which made it difficult to sleep at times. The rainfall showerhead was nice. Overall, it was a decent hotel, good price, and great staff. Would recommend upgrading facilities though (like the aircon and some soundproofing)

I stayed in room 5 during my stay and after every time I had a shower there was a bad smell coming up from the water drainage plug. I told reception and they said that they will talk to someone who will put something down the drains to clear the smell. Once they did this the small was gone. Not nice having this smell in the room after you use the shower. Apart from this it is a nice hotel. Great location. Reception staff very helpful.
