Got a lovely room (was Buddha inspired) the bathroom was beautiful. Although as I was asleep (with no clothes on) housekeeping decided to walk into my room before 12 PM checkout. Only an apology was made and no further comment after 2 employees checked and said they will get back to me. - never did. It’s a shame as the hotel was beautiful and I’d love to stay again but fear of being walked in on puts me off especially after being told I will receive an email correcting the mistake of housekeeping.

Sadly my room was positioned with 3 huge and powerful air conditioning units right outside the two windows of my room , incredibly these units were powerfully working away from the moment I arrived into my room until the moment I checked out , I therefore had no sleep whatsoever during my stay , I spoke to the reception staff and they came to the room said they would attempt to get them turned off but of course there was no way they could do it , they said they were full so couldn't move me which is fair enough , so a sleepless night I was , and when checking out I re affirmed my disappointment but pretty much a none plused reaction , the lady asked for my email address and I assumed maybe I would get a compensation for this but nothing had arrived , hey ho wont be returning to this hotel and be careful and check outside your window for industrial air conditioning units 😥

The hotel was brilliant. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is insane. The lobby, terrace, restaurant and library are so beauty designed. There was a lovely seating area near my room. The aesthetics is wonderful. The staff are friendly, it's in a great location and my room was absolutely massive! I got the king deluxe, Charles Darwin room. The only thing I would change would be more decoration in the room. I would definitely stay here again!

We liked our room - it was immaculate and comfortable with a table and chairs. The check-in and bar staff were lovely. Absolutely loved the decor themes, Turkish carpets, paintings, and antique memorabilia. The breakfast was a highlight with plenty of choice and a freshly prepared buffet. We would definitely stay here again!
