My wife and I very much like this hotel. The staff and helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is beautiful both inside and out. The rooms range from simple to suites and we enjoyed a suite overlooking Russell Square Park. I stay here for the short tube trip to the Emirates and my wife for the shopping! It's a win win. The beds are comfortable and the linen top drawer. The bar has a great vibe and excellent Irish coffees..! Small niggle; larger towels and robes - for men - would be greatly appreciated. We are not all snakey-hipped, Jim Morrison types as some of us are more Jonah Lomu (RIP).

Lovely hotel overall but the beautiful indoor style garden area where you used to be able to have tea is now only available for private functions so you’re redirected to the bar for a tea. The bar is pleasant but very different. The bedroom was small also. Overall lovely staff and very well situated hotel but will be stopping staying there as price is no longer justified vs other beautiful hotels.

Excellent hotel. For unknown reasons we were upgraded to a suite and it was fantastic with heated bathroom floor, sitting area with "fireplace", and complimentary waters, beer and coke in the mini-fridge. Staff was very helpful. Bell staff engaged in friendly conversation while we waited for a cab or uber. Enjoyed the extensive breakfast. Quality hotel all around.

The hotel is very beautiful with wonderful design and decor. The bed and pillows are comfortable and the bedding is high quality. The bathroom was clearly designed by an italian - with form winning hands down over function. No one tested the practicality of it clearly. Problems with flooding, nowhere to put a shower mat, no room for toiletry bags, etc... The hotel does not answer their phone to outside callers, so we did have a panic day where we needed them and couldn't get in touch. They were only minimally responsive to our situation once we did return to the hotel to speak to them.

The Kimpton Fitzroy was lovely, but it was the staff that made it so lovely. From Andrew and Jack, the doormen, to the lovely Naseera, Fredo, Malichi, Monica, Alban, and so many others. The food in the brassiere was delicious, and some of the best I've eaten. Loved it and all the kindness I was shown. Hope to get back there.

I booked two rooms for 2 days each. Paid for both rooms in full through Expedia months prior. The hotel stay was perfect as well as the staff. When I returned home I noticed the hotel charged me 1,760 for vat and hotel taxes. On Friday I called the hotel to straighten out the charges, and they said they would get back to me later that day. No calls were returned and the charges have not been reversed.
