A comfortable and conveniently located base for exploring Camden, one of London’s most vibrant and eclectic neighbourhoods. Camden has a distinctive character, with its blend of history, music, street art, alternative culture, independent shops, food and entertainment.
The apartment is a short walk from Camden Market and Camden Lock, making it particularly well placed for exploring the area. It offers a fascinating mix of independent traders, vintage and alternative fashion, artwork, crafts, souvenirs and a huge variety of international food.
The apartment itself was clean, modern and compact, with the essential amenities for self-contained living. Communication was handled through an online platform, and the team were friendly, professional and helpful throughout. Check-in was straightforward and enquiries were dealt with promptly. We did experience an internet issue, which was eventually resolved a few days later.
There are some considerations. There is no air conditioning, and although a fan was provided, the apartment became warm during hotter summer periods. The inner-spring mattress was also uncomfortable, with the springs noticeable, and a mattress topper would have improved the sleeping experience.
Being an older above-shop property, there is no lift and the upper floors are accessed via a narrow staircase. Sound insulation is limited, external and neighbouring noise is to be expected, given the central location surrounded by shops, restaurant and bars.
