Check in was fast and easy with a very polite front desk person. They were helpful when I called to make sure I was on the ground floor due to a knee injury and super accomodating. The hotel was clean and coffee good.

No elevator, had to lug everything upstairs, no offer to assist from staff even after asking about elevator they said there is none. Asked if there is a room on the first floor and there wasn't any. Overwhelming air freshener or fabreeze throughout hotel, like its trying to mask another smell. At first the TV didn't work. Took multiple staff to get the TV functional, but still difficult to navigate once working. Shower had hot water quickly but the water pressure was weak which sucked for washing my hair. Limited breakfast options, mostly waffles, eggs, or bread. Loudest AC unit I have ever experienced, kept me up all night shutting off and on. Bed was comfortable, but overall, not worth the cost. I should have just brought the RV and stayed at the fairgrounds for our event.

It was not close to the university, but that did not matter to us. Near enough, although reaching the north part of town required swimming through a river of heavy traffic. Probably much lighter on a non Labor Day weekend. It is near lots of restaurants.
