The garden is surrounded by a lilac hedge and a stone wall. The cottage is 800 meters from Lake Bolmen, a swimming and fishing lake. A boat harbor and good swimming spots are thus nearby. If you like cycling or walking, the hiking trail Banvallsleden passes right by the cottage. Good shopping can be done in Ljungby or Halmstad. Halmstand also has a lido by the sea.
