Looking for a memorable, quality hotel for a Beatles themed weekend.. Positives.. Great location for the Cavern. Magnificent Palm court bar and dining area. Staff are lovely and efficient. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean and quiet. Negatives .. Room was uninspiring. Tall thin window with no view other than the central rooftop. No bath as our bathroom was set up for disabled guests. TV was basic freeview. Recognised it wasnt a premium room but still felt disappointed after paying £489 for 2 nights. Pool and spa looked nice but understood a large extra fee required to use it. Nearest parking cost a further £40 for 2 nights. They have a moderate discount arrangement elsewhere but had driven for 3 hours and already parked.

A lovely hotel and the Palm Court area is stunning. Service is superb and staff are very attentive. Note that using the pool and spa facilities costs extra.

When we arrived we had made a mistake with dates and missed our reservation. The reception team were polite and helpful however they weren’t able to assist in changing the dates. We booked new rooms x 4 very surprised to find a hotel of this calibre checked us into what looked like a conference centre and car park level rooms. We were below street level we limited natural light - this was not explained when we checked in. On arrival at breakfast at 9am on a Saturday morning the staff were clearly short and not able to serve the guests with the level of standard you would expect from this hotel. 10 mins for a coffee another 10 mins to take food order. Upon checking out the reception staff challenged some of the staff if they had paid for their rooms yet it was them we paid 15 hours prior. It’s a beautiful hotel but certainly feel short of what I would assume are its own expectations.

All good in general but was gob smacked when we went down to the pool for a swim and was informed it was an extra charge of £50 per person £100 almost as much as the room was not informed of this charge even when I rang to book the pool this charge is only for a 2 hour slot

Lovely Central Hotel - Easy Parking

Great check-in, room and hotel overall. Only real negative was the bar staff who served the first person they noticed instead of the people that had been waiting for ages. Also very happy to tip bar staff for great service, but to have 12.5% automatically added to every bill for already expensive drinks!?
