Stayed one night at Novotel Liverpool with my wife and three kids. Minibar completely empty, not even basic drinking water provided. Called room service in the early hours asking for water and was told: “It’ll cost £5 to bring it up, or you can come down and get it yourself from the bar.” Absolutely disgraceful customer service. For a so-called 4-star hotel, this is unacceptable. Avoid at all costs
