Alternatively, head a similar distance to Lantic Bay, where the water is crystal clear and the sands are seldom packed, or Looe, much-loved for its iconic harbour wall and linked to Liskeard by the scenic Looe Valley railway line.

First, you’ll reach the three bedrooms and a bathroom, located just off the main hallway. For ultimate flexibility, one room has a double bed, one has a super-king-size zip-and-link bed which can be made up as twins on request, and the other has a single bed with an additional trundle bed below. An en-suite shower room to the double bedroom completes the convenience for all. Leave your luggage in your bedroom of choice, then head on into the apartment’s main social space, a stylish L-shaped open-plan room with a feature exposed stone wall at one end. A contemporary kitchen has all the must-haves of home, plus bar-style seating at one of its counters. A chic dining suite is close by; cook, eat and set the dishwasher to work, then take your seat in the lounge area where you can watch TV and discuss your next day’s adventures.
