Cute little hotel in a great location, but not worth the price as there are several drawbacks. Parking is a nightmare, and being on the top floor made moving luggage up and down very challenging. There’s no luggage storage or staff to assist, which would have been very helpful. The room itself was nice and spacious; however, coffee pods and water were not replenished daily—you have to ask at reception and pay. Towels were not changed, even when left on the shelf after use. Breakfast was ok. The girl at the front desk was friendly and smiley, but the male staff members were unhelpful and seemed untrained for luxury hotel service. Cleaning and breakfast staff also lacked friendliness, making the overall experience feel like they were doing guests a favor rather than providing service. Unfortunately, due to these issues, I would not return.

This place is fabulous - we don’t have one complaint!! The staff are so pleasant and helpful - from checkin to room service. Thank you to Tene in the breakfast area - she is an absolute sweetheart. The Villa feels like your own home. All guests were so respectful. The pool/grounds are quaint - so relaxing. Lovely stay at Villa Vasco Da Gama

Location is very good. A short walk (5 mins) from the yellow quarter. 8 min walk from the centre of the old town. 10 min walk to the supermarket and train station. One of the few hotels in the area that has a pool which was great. Very peaceful and just what’s needed to relax. There are limited sun-beds but we didn’t have a problem getting two when needed. Pool towels are provided and can be replaced every 3 days of your stay. All amenities provided such as shower gels, shampoos, shower cap, hair dryer. Some complimentary drinks in the mini fridge were a nice touch. Wardrobe space is limited but hangers are provided. The actual beds were comfy however the pillows are quite flat and can get uncomfortable. Due to the building being old and having some great history, the aircon system isn’t a standard modern aircon unit. It’s located on the window sill so if we were to close the curtains the circulation would be hindered of an evening. It worked great during the day and kept the room a nice temperature. Breakfast was great, and the service was excellent. Everything was stocked back up very quickly. Overall, this was a lovely stay and would recommend due to pool area and location.

Just did a solo trip to Cascais to relax after a crazy year, and Villa Vasco da Gama was a perfect place to do that. It’s located away from the noisy/more touristy parts of the town center on a beautiful quiet street, but is still thankfully a very short walk from shops/restaurants/beaches etc. The staff are kind, helpful, and very accommodating, and the hotel itself is nice and clean. The pool out in the garden is great too! Would happily stay here again, thank you!

A boutique hotel with only 12 rooms. The building is beautiful & the rooms are very stylish. It’s a quiet residential area, within walking distance of the town but away from the bustle. I had a wonderful 3 night stay…coffee machine makes dreadful coffee, they really need to hire someone to make it…then this place would be perfect!

Excellent hotel just off the main street so it’s quiet but close to many wonderful restaurants. The outdoor space was especially inviting with the pool and lounging chairs and tables of all about. The staff were incredibly helpful. I would highly recommend this guest house.!

This is a lovely property with a pool and lounging area and looks like a private backyard. The building is very attractive and comfortable and the staff is extremely friendly and hospitable. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and a delightful way to start our day!
