The host was wonderful and responsive to me, and the location is unbeatable. As for the home itself, it is fine. It was a bit darker than I expected and there were a few bugs. Additionally, the living area/kitchen had a sewage like smell. Overall though, it was quiet and worked well for me.

Great Location

The apartment is located in a walkout basement on a street that is perfectly located between Principe Real and Ave of Liberdade. There is a lovely pocket park close by. The apartment has a coffee machine, dishwasher & washing machine to use. There is only one heavily scratched teflon frying pan. If you are sensitive to bad smells, you may not like this apartment. The garbage can for c the whole building complex is stored directly in front of the apartment and the smell of garbage is often in the vestibule and front living room. The bathroom often smells like mildew. The longer in the washing machine has black mold in it. Other than those concerns, we were pleased with the comfort of the bed and with the nice shower. The is a wonderful cafe next door and a great coffee shop on the corner. The owner/manager is very responsive to most requests. The location can't be beat.

Perfect for seeing Lisbon

The apartment is a great spot for access to the city. It actually is better than the pictures show. Quiet, lovely neighborhood. We enjoyed walking all over using the apartment as a home base.

Nice apartment in a great location

Very well equipped apartment in a great neighborhood. Easy walking to all major attractions. Lots of nice restaurants right outside the door (Instant Crunch!). Great communication with owner throughout.

Great location

We stayed in the apartment for 10 days. We very much appreciated being able to drop off the luggage prior to the check in. The apartment is very well located within walking distance to everything. The host left us a bottle of wine, bubbly and water. Very nice surprise. One thing we did not realise is that this is actually a basement apartment with a walk out to the patio. I assume that is why the apartment smelled musty and especially, in the bathroom, there was continually a bad odor. In addition, there is a large garbage can placed a few steps up from the apartment entry door where the whole building deposits their garbage for the week. Not a nice sight or smell. The apartment looks better than in the pictures and is well equipped. The only issue we had was that there is no good sharp knife. The patio door handle and lock were broken and it took some negotiating with the host to come and temporarily lock it since a spare part was on order. Regardless of the small inconveniences I would still highly recommend the apartment.
