The character and charm of the hotel was great, tastefully furnished to a high standard. The location was perfect, very close to all the Alfama attractions and only a short walk (Or 28E tram ride) into the city centre. Staff were excellent and very attentive, special mention to Miguel the Barman, who dished up some superb cocktails with lively and knowledgeable chat

My wife and I shared a 3-night visit at this beautiful botique hotel in Almafa with our dear friends (2 couples), from the US. From the moment we arrived, very tired from our trip from the Duoro Valley and the harrowing drive through the narrow streets of Lisbon, we knew we were in a very special place. We were immediately warmly greeted and assisted with parking, baggage and registration. A complimentary toast or two of ginja was shared in the lobby, and we began to relax. It would be difficult to point out one member of the staff that was outstanding during our stay, because they ALL were. What a superb team! We fully enjoyed the bar and restaurant service, and all the offerings were wonderfully prepared. The rooms were perfect - quiet, extremely clean and well-appointed, with the linens and towels replaced daily. For our second day the concierge booked a guide for us, (Juaquim), for a full day trip that included Sintra, Caiscais, and Capo da Rocha. He also took us to special stops along the way for breakfast and lunch, and discussed historical and cultural perspectives along the way. Fantastic! From the hotel you can walk to cafes, shopping areas, resturants and beautiful rooftop bars each day, returning back for a relaxing nightcap at this truly one-of-a-kind 5-Star experience! Highly recommended!!!

This hotel is a gem! We stayed in the panoramic suite, which was absolutely spectacular. The views were unparalleled and the room was luxurious. I highly recommend ordering drinks from the bar and watching the sunset from the panoramic suite!

There are only 19 rooms in this lovely historic Boutique Hotel. The beds are comfortable, the linens and towels are high end and the rooms and bathrooms are spacious even in the “Small Room for 2”. The Staff is friendly and professional and treat you like royalty. You are greeted with a free Portuguese drink on arrival. The onsite Bar and Restaurant are wonderful and reasonably priced. We can’t say enough great things about this hotel. We were able to walk to anywhere if you can take all the hills and valley in Lisbon but also Uber when you get tired at a very reasonable price. Thank you Staff for a beautiful stay!

From the time we arrived at the Hotel until we walked out the door everyone was amazing. From the front office helping with restaurants, tours, all the way to a birthday cake delivered to the room. The restaurant was unbelievable as well the service in the Breakfast was fantastic and so pleasing and pleasant every person in this establishment went out of their way to make sure you had wonderful experience. The Santiago De Alfama was the most exquisite hotel in the most perfect old world Lisbon location. While the hotel is elegant & chic to the highest degree, the attentiveness and kindness of the staff was what really made our stay. Specifically, Ruben in concierge & Maria in dining. So elegant with incredible service. But ALL of the other staff as well. Thank you very much. We loved our stay.
