Penha Longa Resort offers 204 air-conditioned accommodations, which are accessible via exterior corridors and feature iPod docking stations and minibars. Rooms open to balconies. Definitely a retreat resort away from the city. Located closed to Sintra downtown (10-15min driving), sits on golf course that is fun to walk around. Two pool family and adult (both cold not heated). Rooms are spacious, breakfast is great but can get busy as it’s popular. Staff are friendly and incredibly helpful and most speak good English. Highly recommend.

Very nice Hotel in a beautiful setting. We spent 5 night and the first 3 days were wonderful until on the afternoon of the forth day an Indian wedding started. Three hours of loud drums welcoming the guest (you could hear it from the room) and the following afternoon again more drums for a procession ceremony that lasted another 2-3 hours. Hotels at this level should notify guests before booking about this type of event or (better) not allow the unnecessary noises.

I visited the property in March 2023 prior to booking for a trip with my wife and I in May 2025. The property is just run down. Capering needed top be replaced some time ago. Lobby bar was closed. Dining not available Sunday & Monday. I went to play golf, asked the day prior about the quality of the equipment and was assured it was brand new. Shame on me I should have checked before leaving the clubhouse. The equipment was FAR from new. To add insult to injury I found out on the first pay 5 the 3 wood was actually broken. Stunning ambiance for a property, but need a major investment to garner the rates they charge.

We had a wonderful stay here. Even though it was pouring rain the whole time, we loved all the amenities that were offered at Penha Longa. The staff were incredibly helpful and very kind. Every single one we came in contact with. The indoor pool and spa facilities were amazing! The beautiful chocolate were so special and we bought lots to take home. Our Junior Suite was comfortable and the room service was quick and very good for the kids. We loved our stay and would have loved to stay much longer. Great hotel!
