Small but cozy apartment in the first floor, sleeping 2 plus 2 good friends in just-restored building 30 meters from Lisbon's famous Santa Lucia viewpoint in Alfama, five minutes' walk from the castle and cathedral. Markets, a bakery and restaurants are nearby. Traditional trams pass stop 10 meters away, and is 600 meters meters away. Here you'll get the real atmosphere living Among the locals.

We will be there on your arrival to give you the door code and more information location.

Great location, lots of places near by to eat. Antonio was a great host answered my questions quickly. As previous reviews said very small bathroom and the street car is loud in the morning but I feel it was all worth it for the location. Will defiantly be back.

We really liked the apartment. It was clean and location was fantastic and a very comfortable bed. Bathroom was very tiny and it was hard to wash comfortably in the shower.A very noisy upstairs neighbour affected our sleep however. Even noise cancelling headphones couldn’t cancel her noise!

Excellent location, slightly quirky property

We loved our stay at this property - amazing location in the heart of Alfama. A little noisy with the street car running 2 foot from the front door. We found we had to sleep with the windows shut and it got a little stuffy. There was a fan, but it was a bit noisy. The bathroom is tiny, so just be aware if you book this property. But it all works and it was clean, charming and made our stay in Lisbon very good value and very memorable. The hosts were great with communication and overall would recommend it.

Charming apartment

This apartment location in Alfama was perfect for exploring Lisbon. The layout and decor are charming with everything you need for your stay. The bed was comfortable. Antonio was a very welcoming, kind and helpful host. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Lisbon!

Heart of Lisbon Old Town

This is a great home base to explore Lisbon. We walked everywhere and used the public transit. The one draw back is the noise from the trolley and the traffic. It started shortly after 5:00 AM and continued until midnight, making it difficult to enjoy a good night’s sleep.

Cozy Alfama Apartment

Centrally located in the Alfame. Close to many historic sites and transportation options. Well appointed kitchen and laundry. Carlota was a terrific local contact who made the check in process easy and informational. The central location of the apartment puts you at the hub of June Festival activity in Lisbon. Lots of delicious street food, wine, beer and music. As a result, it is quite noisy until 2am. If you are not accustomed to city noises ( the tram goes right by the apt), this one may not be for you. In addition, the bathroom is tight but fully functional with everything you need.

Immaculate apartment

Apartment was as described, extremely clean and the support from hosts prior to arrival was superb. Portuguese style within apartment adds to the authentic feel of the Alfama area to encompass your experience. Plenty to see and do in Lisbon, and surrounding areas, with fabulously helpful and friendly locals, great local food eateries and pastelarias the best.

Great location and lovely apartment!

This is a lovely apartment in a historic building and a wonderful location of Lisbon. The apartment was super clean and neat, and the two of us were comfortable there for our stay. The apartment is small, but not unexpectedly so for the area, especially given the excellent location, which is a terrific place from which to explore Lisbon!

TINY apartment. Bathroom virtually unworkable. Shower impossibly tiny. Unable to bend to wash feet. No kidding. Internet and TV sporadic at best. But yes, it was a great location.

Ok for a short stay

It is in a great position if you like the buzz of Alfama, lots of people, music, tram ratter-ling past your window. If you are staying for more than a couple of days, you will need to bring, coffee, tea, milk sugar all your food. Cleaning products for bathroom and floors. A mop and broom are supplied. If you need linen changed, it is free once only. It would have been nice to have an ironing board as stated. Also there is no fire alarm or CO2 detector.however there is a fire extinguisher and blanket. The apartment is quite small , but manageable , the bathroom measures 1800x60 so not suitable if you have a disability. I would recommend that the 2 broken chairs be removed as they are a hazard and taking up space. If you are a light sleeper, not suitable to stay here as you can hear all the noise from the apartment on the next floor, it is annoying especially at 2 am. The trams run from 6 am to midnight, and bar across the road closes around 1-2 am. The bed and pillows are comfortable, the wifi is good. You will need the fan as it is quite hot at night, and you cant open the windows because of the noise. The kitchen has everything you need, however we had to buy knives for cutting and cooking. There are 2 tram stops within a minute, no metro stations and a 15 minute walk to downtown. There is a Ping Doce 10 minutes away down the elevator, and a few small small stores nearby. I would recommend getting a Uber or Bolt from the airport as very hard to pull cases uphill.

Fabulous stay in the heart of Alfama

We stayed in this apartment for four nights - it was clean, well-kept and Carlota was a very helpful and welcoming host. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Lisbon!

The communication was fast; the host was always responsive. I booked this property without the knowledge of it being adjacent to a construction site. This, from day one, made for a very not good experience for me as the constructions noises, which could start as early as 7 am, could on some days last until about 7 pm at night. The construction could also happen on the stats and weekends at really some odd ball times. The drilling, sawing, clanking and banging could be annoying and prevented me from overall having a restful stay, which was what I really needed. I feel like an important information such as the location of the property being near a construction site should have been shared by the host through the property description so that each guest would have decided for themselves if this place would be suitable for them before making their reservation. Some people care about the noises while others don't. So, just because previous guests never complained about the noises, which was what the host claimed to be, it doesn't mean that nobody will or nobody will be bothered enough by the noises to do so. The host gave me the option to cancel my reservation and to get a refund for the unused nights, but by that time it was too late: I couldn't find suitable properties within my budget in the surrounding area. To get a suitable property in Lisbon, which is a very hot tourist area, one needs to make reservations weeks in advance to find something suitable and decent.

Authentic Lisbon

Thank you for a wonderful stay. The property was immaculately clean within an authentic part of Lisbon. As with most of Lisbon you need to like walking uphill but this apartment worth it for the stunning views from outside the property and for the easy access to the castle. There are excellent restaurants around the area and every night fade music could be heard which brought a lovely feeling to the area.The tram/bus service is literally 1 minute walk away for taking you down to town so not a problem if you dont like walking but you also need to be aware team does pass apartment so there is some noise but again this was just part of the experience. Lisbon has so much to offer and the apartment provided everything needed for a restful stay and has a lovely ambience . The welcome was excellent and informative but the only downside was I was given 3 different contacts from the booking one on the last metro ride to the location which was a bit stressful in a new town. Maybe one contact at the outset would have been better but this is just a small thing. I would definitely stay here again as this was a fabulous city and apartment.

Bon emplacement mais bruyant et petit

Séjour de 5 nuits avec deux ados. Très petit pour une famille. Le divan lit est plus petit qu’un lit double et en mauvais état. Nous n’avions pas de drap contour de la bonne grandeur ni assez de serviettes pour 4. La douche est simplement disfonctionelle et devrait être changée. Les voisins étaient bruyants et fêtard la fin de semaine. Ça ajoutait au bruit du tram 28 qui passe dans la rue de 5h50am à minuit. Vraiment pas idéal pour plus de trois personnes. Par contre la localisation est idéale.
