We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ilidias home in Sintra. The neighborhood was quiet and within walking distance of restaurants, groceries and the train. The home was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We were greeted with DELICIOUS pastries from a nearby bakery. On another day Ilidia left us some delicious fruits from the nearby trees.The book of suggestions for nearby places to visit and restaurants proved valuable to us. We especially enjoyed our occasional visits from Scott. We highly recommend this lovely home.Thank you Ilidia.

Authentic Portuguese close to everything

Clean, spacious and located within walking distance to all the sights. Lots of local coffee shops, a super market and restaurants.Comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen if you wanted to eat in. We had a great stay.

Great stay!

We stayed in this larger 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment for a week and enjoyed our stay! We appreciated the yummy baked goods that they provided when we arrived. They had a nice notebook with info about the attractions in the area and recommended restaurants in the area and Alexandra gave us more helpful tips (she speaks English ). Apartment was spacious and kitchen was quite well equipped . Was about an 11 minute walk to the bigger grocery store in town (pingo dice).

Beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bathroom rental with close parking and really everything you would need. The baked goods on arrival were fantastic. A bit of a walk to the historic area but the price reflects this.

Nice property

Comfortable apartment close to town center. Our GPS did not take us to the correct address so check in was a little tricky. It would have been helpful to have a little more details about the appliances etc-the stove was quite tricky and the washing machine wasn’t working but we were not told so wasted time with both things trying to work them out! But the place itself was lovely, hosts were very nice and the outside area much appreciated!

Get Comfortable in Sintra

This apartment is comfortable, and private. No problems with WiFi. We had some plumbing issues with a broken bathtub drain, but the other bathroom had a shower so we did ok. I was a bit challenged by no oven. Our lovely hostess brought us some of the wonderful pastries of Sintra-these are not to be missed!

Warm, Welcoming, and Well Stocked

Location is within walking distance of the Centro Historico and the Castelo Mouro. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, the private garden patio wonderful for enjoying a cup of tea or a glass of wine outside. Most wonderful were our hosts Ilidia and Alexandra. We took their recommendations and were not disappointed! We had a car otherwise this would be a long walk from the train station with bags - just to note this for anyone coming by train with heavier suitcases.

Convenient Location

Situated 4 blocks from the railroad station, it was easy access to the commuter trains to Lisbon. Groceries were nearby. And the sites of Sintra....unbelievable. The accommodations were good for 3 people, with a double bed bedroom with a huge amount of clothing storage capacity. In another single bed bedroom there is convertible chair bed, which we used, making this bedroom rather tight. The hosts were given no warning that we would be 4 adults, but did pleasantly accept the situation. The kitchen is the pride and joy of this dwelling.. Well stocked and great layout.

Perfect in all respect

Evereything was to our utmost satisfaction. We were two couples(2 over 60 and 2 thirty years old). Every couple had its privacy and could cook and eat in a spacious room. Aperitiv on the terrace. We missed nothing and can recommend the appartement to everyone. Christinℜné Huber from Switzerland

Want to live there.

What a great place to stay. Really close to everything...grocery store, Sintra Center, buses, trains you name it it was easy. The apartment and the host were great and really helpful. Had a great taxi driver who brought us around the first day we got there. It was really raining and we knew nothing. He brought us to a great grocery store so we could get food and waited for us and then brought us back to our apartment with no extra charge. Great part of Portugal and a great apartment. We loved it.

Wonderful quiet appartment

Gorgeous appartment located close to Sintra town. Not far at all to resteraunts, supermarket, bars on foot. Property was immaculately clean and tidy. Property owner was lovely! So welcoming and helpful. She showed us lots of local attractions and places to check out. There’s great transport links near by, and Uber taxis find it well. If you’re looking for a quiet peaceful place to stay then this is your place.

Our host were fantastic, Illida and her daughter Alexandra. Very helpful for info and directions. What a beautiful yard. Beautiful fully equipped apartment and well decorated. Very roomy and well situated. Even Chico was so welcoming. Nice, comfortable home in central Sintra, very close to train station and market. Kitchen was very well appointed, had everything we needed. Parking was very close to front door which made things easy.

Quiet place in a convenient location

My family (2 adults, 2 children) stayed here for 8 days. It’s a very quiet location but convenient to get to the main sites around Lisbon. The train station for the Lisbon service is less than 10 mins walk away and the main Sintra palace is also walkable. If you hire a car as we did, there is plenty of free parking around the house. The accommodation itself is a self contained floor with an independent entrance and the owner lives on the floor below. It has all you would need for a self catered holiday and is clean and comfortable. The only downside we found that it was a bit cold at times but that shouldn’t be a problem in the main tourist seasons. The owner and her daughter are very helpful and considerate: knowing our very late arrival time, they had bread/cheese/ham and a selection of local goodies waiting for us! Would definitely recommend the place.

Comfortable space. Easy to be in with two and a half year old. Well equipped, we would have liked an oven/grill but perhaps we are unusual! Great having two bathrooms. Great having outdoor space too. Nice views. Llidia was lovely and provided delicious Portuguese pastries! Her daughter speaks really good English which was very helpful. Supermarket, cafes, shops. buses and trains about 10 minute walk away, downhill. Steep hill back which is ok depending on what you are carrying! We used Uber taxis a lot with no problems. Good internet access. All in all a very good stay.
