As other travelers have noted, rooms need updating. Exactly one electrical outlet in my room, inconvenient to bed; shower head stuck on “shower” function so I got sprayed with cold water when turning on tap; a/c reset to freezing every day. But that said, I had a nice stay - easy walk to av. De La libertade, which is like champs elysees in Paris and meeting point for all day sintra trip; desk clerks very helpful and spoke excellent English; comfy basic bed. Very basic breakfast also, self serve with coffee, yogurt cups, hard boiled eggs.

When I booked this hotel I was worried that it would be very old and smelly (mold) but when I got to my room I was surprised by how clean and spacious the room was…just needs some updating tho (old fashion curtains/bedding/carpet) but everything worked perfectly during my stay. Very good location. Breakfast was good too and with plenty of options. Very good value for money!

Good value for a good basic hotel, well run.

I booked this hotel for a one night stay in Lisbon. I booked it on the basis of its position near to metro and bus routes. It was a good basic hotel, with clean rooms and extremely helpful staff. The breakfast was simple but fine. It was extremely good value. I was pleasantly surprised by the high standards and helpfulness, the only negative aspect was that for me, the bed was too firm!

The whole building is very dated, shabby and tired. It is clean with helpful, friendly staff, but they are charging too much for the standard of comfort. Our request for a double resulted in 2 uncomfortable single beds

Well… the room is decorated with 80s furniture, old furniture, old shower, totally uncomfortable, yellow from time basin, bath… the carpet is dirty with lots of stains. In the bathroom it stinks terribly cause of old pipes. No sound proof, no soundproof windows, i could here neigbouts talks in details and every talk from the outside… Poor breakfast, if u want smth normal (good coffee, scrambled eggs, juice)-extra payment! The staff could not speak english well. There were repairements in the adjacent building-on Saturday!-the staff knew about it and havent told us. Everything is terrible, do not recommend, no no no.

Quite nice budget hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms. The shower was bad, though; it was not possible to shower without getting your hair wet as well. Breakfast was extremely basic: no tomato or cucumber, no lactose-free alternatives for milk or yoghurt. 24-hour reception was a plus.

We stayed here on 2 different occasions during our stay in Portugal. They only have rooms with single beds but will push them together for you upon request. The hotel is dated but overall is clean. The shower curtains are installed too close to the tub so when you turn the shower on the breeze makes it stick to your body...annoying but not a deal breaker. The breakfast was good and had tarts every morning!! This hotel is about a 20 min walk from Rossio Square or about a 6 euro cab ride. Theres also a great little sushi restaurant across the street. Check out is noon but they let us stay until 1 for free because of the tume of our flight. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again

Very dated but kind of cool if you like retro! Room was no smoking but someone had obviously smoked in the room which is expected as smokers In Portugal pay absolutely no attention to non smoking signs. I was just too tired to request a different room which would probably also smell like smoke anyway. Room was very hot as they have the heat on as for the Portuguese it is winter when it is below 50 degrees f. Overall ok for one night at the price I paid.
