We absolutely loved our stay in the apartment. Beautifully decorated and very modern but still charming. The brunch spot next door was the best! The area is so peaceful in the evening and watching peacocks stroll by in the morning along with sunrise over the river, so memorable! Highly recommend and we will be back!

A very charming place to stay: clean, modern and attractive with a very comfortable bed. Loved the patio! The neighborhood is fantastic and so much fun to explore and every meal we had was delicious. The cozy breakfast/brunch place right next door was a delight!

This is a beautiful property - the apartment itself is so nice and comfortable and the area it is in is beautiful as well. It’s an easy walk around all of Alfama and the neighborhoods around it. You can also walk to the actual Castle in a couple minutes. It’s awesome because you can keep an eye on the crowds going into the castle and go when there’s no line.

We just finished our stay at Hermitage and we are sad to leave! The property, it's location and Sónia's amazing service were nothing less than stellar. Sure you gotta climb up a cobblestone hill every day, but you also get to walk through the walls of a castle to get there. It's a very medieval kinda vibe there with it's narrow winding walking paths and it's glowing yellow lamps to guide your way at night. Discovering hidden cafes and lively squares added to each day's adventures.

Wonderful stay - property was beautifully designed, maintained and kept clean. Entrance was very easy via app. Note that the property is at the top of a hill and not accessible by taxi/uber.

The room was exceptionally quiet, perfectly clean, and well provisioned. The quirky space was smaller than we expected, but sufficient and comfortable, and the shower was wonderful. Our main complaint was that entry to the apartment required downloading an app on my phone, which although I did before we left home, I could not test to see if it was working properly until we arrived at the property... and it was not. There we were, exhausted from travel, in a country where we did not speak the language, standing in the very narrow hallway with no cell or internet service = stressful start to a vacation.

Amazing Lisbon stay!

We traveled all over Europe with our family and this was our favorite place to stay.! Bernardo was so helpful from making sure I knew how to use the key, accommodating us when we arrived a little bit early, and being on top of every need we had, the moment we asked for anything. It was in an amazing place in Lisbon, with a little view of the water and in the middle of a bustling area that you could spend days walking around. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and kept so clean. We would definitely come back!

The beautiful views you get from the bed room and the living room makes the effort to climb up the hills and steep stairs perfectly worth it! Transportation to/from the flat can be a little difficult if you have heavy luggages. Prior communications with drivers is necessary.

We stayed in the first floor apartment with a large private terrace. The apartment was really lovely, modern but retaining original aspects of the building. Air conditioning was superb and there with the windows closed there was virtually no noise from outside. The kitchen was very well appointed and we cooked a few nights of our 8 night stay. There was building work going on in a neighbouring property with drilling starting at 8:00am, which made breakfast on the terrace very noisy, but that’s outside the control of the apartment owners. The reason for giving 4 stars rather than five is because although the terrace is private it is overlooked on every side so we ended up not using it very much, but that’s a small criticism of what is otherwise a wonderful apartment in a great location, run by people who reallly take care to give you a great experience.

Such a sweet place! The apartment was so nicely laid out and was perfect for our family. The cafe next door was delicious too. It was so neat to be in such a historic part of Lisbon!
