I had a very stressful and disappointing experience with this accommodation in Lisbon.
Before our arrival on April 7th, I had already paid the second and final installment on April 1st and had full proof of the transfer. Despite this, I kept receiving messages saying the payment had not been received. After many emails and sending all documents, one staff member apologized and said they would check it.
On the day of arrival, while we were on the metro, I received the same message again. The person handing over the keys refused to give us access without another payment. I sent all proof again and even contacted my bank for a transaction reference, but they still claimed we hadn’t paid.
We argued for over two hours and even had to call the police, as we felt we were being scammed. At 10:15 PM, with my young daughter exhausted and hungry, I had no choice but to pay again. Standing there and sending the money again, then waiting another 20 minutes while they still denied receiving it, was incredibly distressing. Only then did they finally hand over the keys.
After two days of contacting Expedia and resubmitting all evidence, they admitted they had received the payment twice and refunded it.
This was the worst accommodation experience of my life. I do not recommend it to anyone.
