Charming country house, Portugal 35 min from Lisbon

Located between Lisbon and Mafra, Quinta da Azenha is a charming stone house of 150 m2 plus a terrace and a large garden with a view on an uninhabited hill. The Lizandro stream flows at the bottom of the land. You can explore the hill on foot, meditate by the river, or take a nap in one of the two hammocks. The little ones will certainly appreciate the tree house with its zip line, basketball hoop and swing.

As for the evenings, if they are a little cool during your stay, you can spend them listening to the crackling of a fireplace.

If you like animals, you will be happy to have the visit of the village cats (food provided if you want to feed them outside the house) but no obligation, you can ignore them if you do not like cats.

A grocery store and two cafes are 1km from the house, several restaurants 4km away and several supermarkets 10km away.

A train station is 1km away, so you can go to Lisbon by train if you want a little adventure! But be careful there are few trains.

Perfect refuge to feel alone in the world while being only 35 minutes from Lisbon, 20 minutes from many beaches and Ericeira, 10 minutes from Mafra and its 'Tapada', a wine cellar, an ancient volcano, waterfalls, and the tourist village 'Aldeia da Mata Pequena'.

Absolutely lovely

Wow this was an amazing stay. Beautiful scenery on a lovely creek. Lots to do for kids of all ages including a playroom for the littles, tons of games and a treehouse. Clean, spacious and well equipped. Would definitely stay here again

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Marie qui est très accessible. La maison est magnifique et très agréable, parfaitement équipée. Le guide d’accueil et d’indication des points touristiques est très complet et nous a beaucoup servi. La maison est perdue dans les collines, ce qui permet une température supportable pendant l’été, mais les points d’intérêts restent facilement accessibles en voiture.

We had a great holiday in this lovely house. The house is very comfortable, also for our children of 3 and 6 years old it has everything you desire. There is a play corner, the rooms are nice, a sandbox, toys and above all a fantastic garden, a stream, a tree house. The surroundings are also very beautiful with a lot of things to do. The contact with Marie was very good and warm. We had a great holiday in this paradise. Thank you!
